IT and digitalisation play a crucial role in urban public transport and mobility – not only in the organisation and administration of our systems, operating processes and services, but also in the behaviour and expectations of passengers. The focal point of IT-TRANS is solutions to support the operation of public transport networks and the management of urban transport systems. IT-TRANS demonstrates how public transport can profit from intelligent technologies such as connected and autonomous vehicles, predictive maintenance, virtual reality and the Internet of Things (IoT).
